The Wrong Season
“Half a kilo
of mince please” she said.
“No mince
today” the butcher replied.
“Least ways
not beef, can do you some sausage meat”.
She sighed. “Why
no mince?”
“No call for
it, it’s not the season”
“But I’m
calling for it...I’ve children to feed”
“Like I
said, got none”...
